Who are we?

The QUT United Nations Student Association (“QUT UNSA”) is a student run organisation at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. We assist our members in realising aspirations within the fields of international law, foreign policy, human rights, diplomacy and politics through the provision of social, academic and professional experiences. As a society we believe primarily in the purposes and principles of the UN and recognise that the shift to a globalised economy and political system makes these principles increasingly important to the QUT graduates of tomorrow.

QUT UNSA boasts a diverse membership base. We attract students from a range of faculties including, but not limited to Law, Business, Behavioural Science, Creative Arts, Science and Engineering. Members join our society for a number of reasons. Some wish to compete within our delegations at model United Nations conferences across Australia and beyond, keep up to date with foreign policy changes and make invaluable global career connections. Others just want to meet other like-minded individuals.

“Our mission is to advocate for the implementation of the fundamental principles of the UN, to connect students with an interest in international issues, and to make our members aware of the opportunities waiting for them in the global market.”
